Actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson (“Dirt”) joins the series as Naevia, the former body slave to Lucretia who was banished from the Ludus for engaging in a love affair with Crixus. Co-starring Lucy Lawless, Peter Mensah, Manu Bennett, Dustin Clare, Nick E. Liam McIntyre took over the role of Spartacus for season two, with Whitfield’s blessing, and now Starz is finally ready to launch it. He tragically ended up passing away two months ago. Production was delayed while he was treated but ultimately Whitfield had to step down from the series. The future of the project was put in jeopardy however when star Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with cancer. In 2019, she was cast as co-lead in the CBS pilot Alive, as medical examiner Elizabeth Lavenza who's husband Mark Escher (Ryan Phillipe) is bought back to life by the mysterious Dr Frankenstien (Aaron Staton), but never picked up.Back in 2010, Spartacus: Blood and Sand was a big hit for Starz and the Spartacus series was actually renewed for a second season before any episodes had even aired. Since 2013, she has had a recurring role on The CW television series Arrow as Nyssa al Ghul, the daughter of the notorious leader of the League of Assassins, Ra's al Ghul. In 2011, Law completed an action-oriented project called "3 Minutes" with director Ross Ching, producers Don Le and George Wang, starring Harry Shum, Jr., Stephen "tWitch" Boss (the runner up on season 4 of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance), and herself. The show was later picked up by Starz which led to Law's casting in Spartacus: Blood and Sand in 2009. Picardi was the series' official creator and director. Law worked alongside director Adrian Picardi with producers Eric Ro and Don Le, to create a low budget web series called The Resistance.
